On Spiritual Warfare Pt 1

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12 KJV

For as long as I have been in church this verse has been used to place blame for sin on Satan or the Devil. The only problem with that mentality is that it doesn't fit this verse. If we are wrestling against spiritual wickedness in HIGH places how do we reconcile this verse with the idea of the Devil and Hell being BENEATH us?

Before I move on I need to give credit to Holy Spirit and Prophet Jeremy Lopez because until I had heard him preach this I used to be the same way.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against PRINICPALities...real spiritual warfare isn't between you and the "devil", it's moreso between the PRINCIPALS of your spirit man and your Adamic nature...you are the combination of light and dark elements, you are saved by grace but you are also the "spiritual wickedness in HIGH (mental,mind) places"


Even though Christ has reconcilled the world back to God already, we are still born of Adam's (sin's) seed. We are ignorant of the true God until we come to the conscious decision to accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Even after accepting Him, because we live in a world full of sin we are not immune to it, rather, we are not given the deserved punishment because of the finished work of Grace at Calvary's Cross.
